Historic Pubs and Inns in Newark from 1341 - 1963
by William G Law - April 1965

We are indebted to Judy Stride of Callington, Cornwall who supplied the information originally compiled by William Law, who died aged 77 in 1977. William lived in Newark all his life and worked for Worthington Simpsons as a Tool room clerk. Pubs, Inns and Hotels older than 200 years are highlighted in blue. We have also included the Postcode and additional information where we know it. The street number in many cases have now been changed. If you have any further interesting facts about any of the pubs or inns listed here, please let us know.
