Edwinstowe Pubs and Inns
This is Robin Hood country. The church of St. Mary is where Robin Hood and Maid Marian are reputed in legend to have married. The beautiful oak forest of Sherwood, including the Major Oak tree, is just one mile north. Although only fragments of the ancient forest survive, there is a wide selection of walks starting from the Sherwood Forest Visitors Center, Tel. 01623 824490.

Just 3 miles to the South East is Rufford Country Park, NG22 9DF, just off the A614. Tel. 01623 822944. The remains of a 12th century Abbey and later country house form the center of this 150 acre country park.
