Bleasby Pubs and Inns
Bleasby is some 4 miles south of Southwell and close to the River Trent. In Roman times there was a paved way from Hazelford ferry, an ancient crossing point of the Trent, towards Bleasby railway station and it is though that the village lines this route. The church dates back to the 13th century and has a fine cedar tree in the pretty churchyard. This area was the home of William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army
