This 300 year old pub has lots of character. Good range of real ales and good quality food in a nice dining room. Close to Carsington Water. Worth a visit.

 

 

Hulland Ward

Hulland was mentioned in the Domesday book as Hoillant. The old packhorse road between Manchester and London ran along the ridge through the village and is reputed to be the route used by Bonnie Prince Charlie on his way to Derby in 1745.
