The historic Devonshire Arms was converted from
3 cottages in 1747. Good value dining pub with restaurant
and bar foods. Friday night is fish night - may
need to book. Children welcome. Wide range range
of well kept real ales.

Beeley
The small
village of Beeley is off the A6 Matlock to Bakewell Road and is
in the valley between the moors and the river Derwent at the south
end of Chatsworth Park. Beeley old Hall is at the north-eastern
end of the village and was the manor house until 1559.The village
church dates back to the 12th century.There is a bronze age tumulus
on Beeley Moor called Hob Hurst's House.
